Romans 8:28 “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them”

For we simple, finite mortals there is good and there is bad and there are varying degrees of both. Very good. Very bad. Really good. Really bad. Terrific! And God where are you?! We experience life as a series of ups and downs, peaks and valleys. But God’s perspective is so totally different from our own. It doesn’t just have to do with his vantage point high in the heavenlies either. Regardless of the circumstances you are experiencing at any given moment they all share a single thing in common – God’s promise that they will all work together for your good. The best of the best and the worst of the worst, it makes no difference to God. He plans for and uses all the circumstances, relationships, knowledge, everything to make up his perfect plan for your life! Since you experience everything in a moment of time, your view of life is often colored by the situations confronting you at the moment. But God always sees the big picture, the grand mosaic. All the trials you pass through are designed specifically for perfecting you and to draw you unto him. No experience, no word is wasted. And all for your good!

Pray: “Dear God, my mind cannot begin to conceive the intricacies of how you weave all the good and bad experiences of my life into a finished plan that is not only good but that is tailor made for me. I don’t have to understand it, Lord, merely claim the promise that whatever mountains stand in my way, the climb will do me good. Whatever battle lies ahead of me, the victory will bring you glory. Whatever pain I must endure, it will allow me to empathize or lessen the pain of someone else. Today I choose your plan, Father, and claim confidently that it is “all for my good.” In the powerful name of Jesus’I claim it – Amen.”
