Acts 1:6-7 “So when they had come together, they asked him, ‘Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?’ He said to them, ‘It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority.”

Isaiah 46:9b-10a “…for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done…”

God created time. Because he created it, we know certain things. First, he has ultimate authority over it. If he chooses to stop the sun (and time) he can. God can be everywhere because, unlike us, he exists outside of time. That is how he can see our end from the beginning. That is why a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like a day to him. The reason that God, through the prophet Jeremiah (29:11), is able to tell us that he has a specific ‘plan’ for our lives is because he sees all of time at once and knows exactly how we fit into the “grand plan” he has for mankind’s redemption! Each of us, from our limited perspective, views life from our brief stay on earth (remember your life is but a mist…a vapor). That is why we need to learn to answer the question: “How does the ‘cycle’ of my time (life) fit into God’s redemptive plan?” If we understand that he has a plan/purpose for our lives, we can best prioritize the things in our life. God has given us enough time to complete the task if we are wise in using our time.

Pray: Dear Lord, how easy it should be to trust you, knowing that, not only have you ordered my days, but you can already see my tomorrow. You can lead me like no other. Thank you for creating me with a purpose, a place in your grand plan. Reveal to me, O’ God, the role you have for me that I might set my priorities aright. In Jesus’ precious name I pray - Amen.”

Sometimes we worry too much about tomorrow and don't let God lead us and guide us.

I am ashamed to say that most of the times prayer is not in my list of priorities, but it seems to be in the top three when things go wrong.

I need to trust the Lord and believe that He created me for a reason and He wants the best for me.

Jesus felt the same way. In Matthew 6:34 he tells us not to worry about tomorrow because we have enough troubles to concern us today. When we trust in him, we don't need to worry about tomorrow (not the same as not thinking about or considering the future) so long as we are following his plan today. When we do that, we know tomorrow will take care of itself! Trust is the key to eliminating worry and he has given us every reason to trust him...
