Esther 4:13-14 “Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, ‘Do not think to yourself that in the king’s palace you will escape any more than all the others Jews. For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this.”

One can never know or estimate the importance of their influence. God has saved his people numerous times through people whose influence with rulers made them influential at a time beneficial to God’s chosen people Israel. Joseph, who suffered so many trials and misfortunes, was placed by God in the court of Pharaoh with sufficient influence that, during a time of famine, he was able to provide all that his family needed to survive. Likewise Esther, who found favor with the King of Persia during a time of exile and danger for the Jewish people, was placed in a position where only she could save God’s people. Haman had paid a large sum of money to have the Jews all destroyed by edict of the king. Only Esther could approach the king with any hope of changing the situation. Anyone else who approached the king uncalled for would be put to death. While it was a risk for Esther, her influence not only allowed her to gain the kings ear, but also to save her people. Like Esther, you have been called for such a time as this. And you never know when the time will come that your influence will be the one that makes a difference.

Pray: “Heavenly Father, I will never know if the influence I have over others will lead me to a life and death situation. I can’t predict with any certainty that it will ever have so much weight as that. I do know, however, that you have called me to this place and this time. And whether I save one or a thousand, it is equally important in your eyes. I pray that, like Esther, when the time comes for me to use that influence, I will not hesitate. Thank you for the trust you have placed in me. In Jesus holy name I thank you - Amen.” Attachment
