Jeremiah 29:11 “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”

God has a plan. God has had a plan since he first created all that is. God’s plan has included the redemption of man. God’s plan includes you. Does that surprise you? You have a specific role to play. God’s vision for you reaches all the way from before you were born on into eternity. God’s vision will cause you to prosper and have the kind of future you could never create for yourself. God’s vision involves the development of his character in you, because to achieve your purpose in God’s great tapestry of time will require you to become extraordinary - to rise above what you could reach alone. When we accept God’s vision for our lives, we choose not to settle for a mundane existence but to become part of an enterprise whose scope is so big only God himself can see it all! Man’s visions often fall short and we must default to “plan B” or even “plan C”. God has no “plan B”. Why? His plans never fail. Who would choose a vision with limited benefits and significant likelihood of failure over a plan that is “custom made” for us and cannot fail? It’s time to “team up” with God!

Pray: “Heavenly Father, thank you for loving me enough to tailor a plan for my life and including it in your redemptive vision for mankind. In this world there is no such thing as a “sure thing”. But Lord, I know that what you purpose, you will always bring to pass. I am humbled to be included in your purposes. Help me to develop your characteristics in my life; make my life extraordinary because it reflects all that my Savior, your Son is - in whose righteous name I pray – Amen”
