Matthew 6:9-10 “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
Heaven is the epitome of all that God wants for his children. It is a place of perfect peace and beauty. It is where love lives. It is God’s ultimate desire, his vision, to bring all that his kingdom in heaven is down to the world he created for his children. As we line up our vision with the Father’s, we make it possible to see his kingdom come. We can’t possibly hope to see or understand the entire vision. It is enough that we learn to accept our part in it and do whatever the Father asks of us. God has us exactly where he wants us, right where he needs us at this time. Like pieces on a chess board, as we give up control of our lives to our Heavenly Father, we permit him to move us as needed, to be part of the victory his Son has already won. As evil flees from the light God brings into the world through us, we will begin to see glimpses of his heaven on our earth. Each of us is granted only moments in time to complete our part in God’s plan. There is a ‘countdown clock’ in your life and it is ticking…
Pray: Heavenly Father, it is my prayer today that you will help me to join my vision to yours, make it possible to bring your kingdom here to earth by working through me to do what you need done. I realize this is only possible as I relinquish my own vision and control of my life. I want to be a part of all that you are doing. Lead me. In the strength of Jesus’ name I pray - Amen.”
